What the employee receives

Only the salary balance and any accrued vacation plus 1/3. The worker loses notice, pro-rata 13th salary, pro-rata vacation, FGTS withdrawal, the 40% penalty and unemployment insurance.

Grounds (CLT art. 482)

Dishonesty, misconduct, unauthorized competing business, criminal conviction, repeated negligence, habitual drunkenness, breach of company secrets, insubordination, job abandonment, violence or offenses at work, habitual gambling and loss of a required license through willful misconduct.
